These terms govern your use of Varden and the services provided by Arctyra, Inc. ("we", "our"). By using Varden, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

Varden is a product of Arctyra, Inc., a Delaware corporation based in California.

Using Varden

Varden helps you check for common hidden cameras and trackers, and alert trusted contacts if you do not check in. You may use Varden only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

No guarantee

Varden cannot find every device. It cannot find cameras that are off, wired, or use cellular connections. Varden is not a substitute for emergency services. In an emergency, call 911.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your account information secure. You must provide accurate information. You may delete your account at any time.

Acceptable use

You may not use Varden to violate any law or to harm, harass, or threaten others. You may not interfere with the service or attempt to access it in unauthorized ways.

SMS Terms

Program name: Varden Safety Alerts

Description: A Varden user may add you as a trusted contact. You receive one invitation text and must reply YES to join. After that, you get texts only when that user misses a safety check-in or sends an alert.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies with the user's activity.

Message and data rates may apply.

Help and opt-out: Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. You will get one confirmation text and no more messages. Reply START to opt back in.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Varden is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Varden. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post changes on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of Varden after changes means you accept the updated terms.
