This privacy policy describes how Arctyra, Inc. ("Varden", "we", "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use the Varden website and mobile app.

What we collect

Website waitlist: We collect your email address and an optional answer about what you would pay for the app.

Varden app: We collect account details you provide when you sign up. We collect trusted contacts' names and mobile numbers that you enter. We collect your location only while a safety timer or alert is active. We collect timer and check-in events.

Room check scan results stay on your device and are not sent to us.

How we use it

We use the information we collect to run the waitlist, send launch news you asked for, deliver safety timers and alerts, and keep the service secure.

SMS

Trusted contacts receive text messages only after replying YES to an invitation.

We do not share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver the messages on our behalf.

Service providers

We use Cloudflare for hosting and data storage, Twilio for text message delivery, and an email delivery provider. These service providers process data only to provide their service to us.

We do not sell or rent personal information

We do not use your information for advertising.

Retention

We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Location shared during an alert expires with the alert link. We keep account data until you delete your account.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from any email we send. You can reply STOP to any text message. You can request access to your information or request deletion by emailing hello@vardenapp.com.

California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA. We honor these rights for all users.

Children

Varden is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
