Varden Key
A small companion for your phone. It listens for radio signals your phone can't, so a room check can look further. We are still testing it, and we are not giving a release date.
What it listens for
Wi-Fi cameras
The Key looks at how nearby Wi-Fi devices send data. It flags devices that behave like cameras streaming video. It reads packet headers only, never what is inside them. If something looks like a camera, the app can ask you to wave a hand and then hold still, to see whether the device reacts. Then a warmer/colder meter helps you find it.
Bluetooth trackers
The Key finds nearby tracker signals from supported families: Apple Find My, Google Find Hub, Samsung SmartTag and Tile. A warmer/colder finder helps you locate one. If the same unknown tracker keeps showing up during one trip, the app tells you.
Also planned
ComingA personal alarm, a door guard that sounds if the door moves, a left-behind alert between the Key and your phone, and a way to ring the Key from your phone and your phone from the Key.
What it can't see
No tool finds every device. The Key can't see cameras that are off, wired, cellular-only or saving only to a memory card. A camera that sends data only when it detects motion can stay quiet during a scan. Some cameras use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, and we are still testing which hardware covers them. GPS trackers that use cellular service don't use Bluetooth, so the app guides a physical search instead.
A quiet result is not a guarantee. Use your judgment and look closer when something feels off.
Your data
Scan results stay on your phone and the Key. Read how the Key handles data in the privacy policy.
